Engage:

At Kirkpatrick’s, we engage in the initial planning stages of your project. Through conversations, we genuinely listen, understand your objectives, and address your questions. Our skilled team offers expert advice on idea feasibility and defines realistic budget ranges. We provide a complimentary estimate and feasibility study to ensure your satisfaction.

Design:

After the scope of work has been mutually defined, we provide you with a design agreement that specifies all requirements. Our next step is to:

  • Measure and photograph the existing space.
  • Check zoning.
  • Check existing electrical, mechanical and structural systems.
  • Consult with you to explore design options and revise working plans.
  • Provide conceptual plans based on your aesthetic, functional, and investment criteria.
  • Clarify minimum/maximum investment budget to delineate scope of construction.

Refine Details and Finalize Contract

At Kirkpatrick’s, we understand the importance of paying attention to every detail. We collaborate closely with you to enhance your chosen design and make the final material selections. Our process is thorough and efficient, ensuring that all the elements come together seamlessly, creating a beautiful project that perfectly aligns with your vision. After your approval, we take care of permit applications, present a fixed-price budget, and establish a schedule with clear start and completion dates. Count on us to deliver exceptional service every step of the way. Steps include:

  • Hold an on-site walk-through with our trade partners to review approved design.
  • Assist you in selecting finishes and specifying products.
  • Prepare comprehensive fixed-price construction contract.
  • Upon receipt of the requested construction deposit, place your project on our production schedule.
  • Submit approved construction documents for permitting purposes

Pre Construction & Start of Work:

Great news! Your project is set to begin. A Project Manager will be on-site to oversee the project’s smooth operation, manage the team, maintain a clean site, and address any concerns promptly. We’ll have weekly production meetings and reports to keep everyone informed, tackling any issues promptly. Our goal is to deliver projects on time, within budget, and up to Kirkpatrick’s unmatched standards. Here are the tasks we’ll focus on in this phase:

  • Provide project schedule with specified start and completion dates.
  • Hold a weekly production meetings with client, Project manager, and Kirkpatrick’s Owner.
  • Assign a Project Manager who will handle all day to day communications with you from the beginning of construction to project completion.
  • Provide plastic dust protection and air scrubber that differentiates between the construction area and the rest of the home.
  • Schedule and manage all tradesman and inspectors.
  • Provide a copy of license and insurance certificate
  • Complete the punch list in a timely manner at the project completion.

Continued Support: 

Now that your project is completed, Kirkpatrick’s is available to you for contiuned support, warranty and small projects. We have heard from our clients that this added value is greatly appreciated.

Working with your Architect:

While Kirkpatrick’s has it’s own design team ranging from Interior Designers to Architects and Structural Engineer, we are happy to work with your exisiting Architect if you have already started the process. We will provide a feasibility study and estimate based on your Architect’s plans which allows Kirkpatrick’s Construction to outline the scope of work and provide an investment budget range.

When working with conceptual plans, we can offer solutions to challenging site conditions and propose value engineering options to ensure the budget is feasible. With complete construction packages that include detailed building plans and specifications, we perform cost analysis and provide a fixed-price construction contract and schedule for all phases of work.
